This service is provided to subscribers of H-France to connect people offering housing in France with people in need of housing. To post a housing notice, please follow the following guidelines:

Only subscribers to H-France may post on this site. To subscribe, go to our subscriber page at www.h-france.net/subscribe.html. H-France only lists postings of housing offered or sought in France. Properties outside France will be posted only if they are being offered in exchange for a property in France. Subscribed members should send their postings directly to the H-France listserv (H-FRANCE@LISTS.UAKRON.EDU). It will be forwarded to the housing editor, who will post it on this page and distribute a weekly digest of new postings to H-France subscribers. Please allow one week for your housing notice to be posted. Be sure to include all necessary information: contact information, general description of the location, general description of the apartment, dates apartment is available, rental price.

This page is updated on a weekly basis. All postings will be removed after four weeks. Accommodations that are still available after that time will need to be resubmitted. The publication of these notices does not constitute their endorsement by H-France. H-France will not post any notices that are discriminatory in any manner.

Caution: A number of con artists have been using this site to search for targets. One of the main tactics is to ask for payment to be wired to an account and then deactivating their email address. This is still a relatively rare occurrence but it has been happening recently enough to warrant this advisory note.  The Editors of H-France advise you to use caution when interacting with prospective landlords overseas, even if they advertise on this site. Most reputable landlords can provide references from previous tenants or accept payment through a more protected means such as Paypal.

As I moved in US for a couple of months, I propose my apartment for rent by week or month. This fully refurbished in 2019 apartment of 60 SQUARE METERS in Haussmanian building, is located on the 4th floor (without ELEVATOR ) of a XVIIIth century building, a few steps away from the charming Place de la Bastille and Le Marais. Fully equipped. The living room of 30 square meters, overlooking the street, is equipped with a very comfortable (and easy-to-handle) sofa bed which can be adjusted as a twin size bed. There are two marble fireplaces (chimney) with antic “biseauté” glasses. In the whole apartment there is very old and charming wood floor “point d’Hongrie”. Cable TV (with CNN International and BBC World among others) is also available in the apartment. Free Wi-Fi Internet is available as well as free calls to landlines in the US, UK and several other countries. The flat is not air conditioned but there is an electric fan. The bed room is very sunny and quite. There is a twin bed and two big closets. All furnished with sheets, towels…. The apartment contains a fully equipped, separate kitchen. The kitchen has a built-in ventilation system. There are a washing machine, a dishwasher, microwaves, 4 ring hob, four, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, iron, all dishes and cutlery. The apartment has a shower and toilet (separate). There are linens, towels and hair dryer in the shower room. You can find in the apartment a few books with practical and useful tips on the area and Paris. The entire apartment has been remodeled with careful attention to restore the apartment’s original features while at the same time providing all cd modern amenities and conveniences. The apartment is no smoking apartment! The Neighbourhood: The apartment is near to Bastille and the Marais. There is a very big open-air food market “Marché Alligre” near to the apartment, as well as a 5 supermarkets and also speciality shops a block away. The apartment is near to Gare de Lyon where you can find a direct airport bus. The Metro line 1 is two steps away (100m).The line 1 is the main metro line with which you can visit the entire city and sightseeings very quickly. There also line 8. There a lot of restaurants and bars in the area. Price including all costs is 750 Euros per week or 2300Euros per month. Recently renovated one-bedroom apartment (deux pièces, 47m2) in quiet street near Porte des Lilas (75019). Metro and tramway are 1-min walk and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont is 15 min walk. This 3rd floor apartment (with elevator) is bright and sunny. Paintings,  bathroom and toilets were redone a short time ago. The living-room is spacious (20m2) : there is a big sofa-bed and a table extendable to 6 persons. The room has a double bed and some closets. The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge, boiler, oven, microwave oven…). The bathroom has a big shower, a washbasin, a washer-dryer and a hairdryer. Toilets are separated. Linen is provided. WIFI and cable high-speed internet. Neighbourhood is very quiet and nice with shops, cafes, a cinema and live entertainment bars at a short walking distance. BnF François Mitterrand can be joined by bus 64 and BnF Richelieu by bus 20. Beaubourg can be joined directly by tube (line 11). No smoking or pets in the apartment.
