Caution: A number of con artists have been using this site to search for targets. One of the main tactics is to ask for payment to be wired to an account and then deactivating their email address. This is still a relatively rare occurrence, but it has been happening recently enough to warrant this advisory note. The Editors of H-France advise you to use caution when interacting with prospective landlords overseas, even if they advertise on this site. Most reputable landlords can provide references from previous tenants or accept payment through a more protected means such as Paypal.

The apartment is available from March 1. Top floor, courtyard-side, in a quiet building with an elevator. The neighborhood is the 11th arrondissement, off Rue de Charonne and metro lines 2 and 9, close to the beautiful Père Lachaise Cemetery. There are great cafés and boulangeries, a butchery, a cheese shop, regular and organic grocery stores, and a street market in the mornings on Wed & Sat. The apartment’s 5 windows face east and get nice light. Excellent wifi and a comfortable work-from-home setup. In the living room, there is a secretary desk, a second desk, a small table, and two desk chairs. Additional folding chairs are in the closet. There is also a sofa and a loveseat. In the kitchen, you’ll find a clothes washer, refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, small oven, electric kettle, rice cooker, blender, and moka pot (no dishwasher or microwave). The bedroom has a wardrobe and double bed with a comfortable mattress and linens. I also have a double air mattress to put in the living room if you need. The bathroom and shower are tiny, but everything is clean and functions well. The place is peaceful, cozy, and nicely decorated. No smoking in the apartment or pets. As I moved in US for a couple of months( Phd of my wife), I propose my apartment for rent by weeks or month.
